Now is probably the best time to build a budget system for video-editing. With excellent CPU performance at a very low price and the recent fall in SSD prices, you can build quite the beast of a system for a small investment. Since a GPU isnโt essential for video-editing, we have opted for the absolute bottom-of-the-line variant. Consequently, this build is NOT meant for gaming. That said, you can still edit 4K video without any hitches and 1080p should be a breeze.
Without any Delay Let's Dig in ;)
1. Processor :- AMD Ryzen 5 3600
You can use Ryzen 5 3600 for video editing applications. AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is a 6 Cores Processor come with 12 Threads. The AMD Ryzen 5 3600 is enough for video editing tasks, and should still feel responsive when reviewing the timeline.
Number of Cores | 6 |
---|
Number of Threads | 12 |
Base Clock Speed | 3.6 GHz |
Maximum Boost Speed | 4.2 GHz |
L3 Cache | 32 MB |
2. Ram=Corsair Vengeance LPX 8GB x2
The Corsair Vengeance LPX 2 x 8GB is the best high-end DDR4 kit we found on the market. This high-end kit is designed around performance rather than aesthetics, and is certainly the best when it comes to high-end speed and performance.
16GB will give you enough memory to do multiple things at once without the computer struggling. 16GB is enough for editing 1080p projects or 4K files with minimum effects.
3. Motherboard=MSI B450M-A Pro Max
It is a great value great system for a gaming pc running pci gen 3 graphics but with limited upgrading path, but then again how many of you spend twice the money on a motherboard with features you never use. Great little motherboard that works with the 3000 series Ryzen.
4. GPU= GTX 1050ti
The graphics card is clocked at 1.29 GHz, and can be boosted as high as 1.392 GHz. It also has 768 CUDA cores, 48 texture units, along with 32 ROPs. The GeForce GTX 1050 Ti incorporates 4 GB of GDDR5 memory. Since the memory runs at 1.752 GHz, and uses 128 bit interface, the effective memory bandwidth is 112.13 GB/s.
This is a good graphics card. You will be able to do video editing and play any modern game at mid range graphics on FPS and I can run 90% on World of War craft.
5. Storage=HITECH SSD 256GB
SSDs are faster, more durable, more compact, quieter, and consume less energy. HDDs are more affordable and may offer easier data recovery in the event of damage. As long as price isn't the determining factor, SSDs come out on top โ especially since modern SSDs are just about as reliable as HDDs.
6. PSU and Case= PSU and Case Combo
450 watts power supply will be enough for both CPU Ryzen 5 3600 and GTX 1050 TI as Ryzen 5 3600 takes about 65 watts power and GTX 1050Ti takes around 75 watts power from PSU.
Since it is a editing PC so we are not taking a rgb case.
